Computer Technology

Dollar Bay offers a number of courses in the area of computer technology in the elementary, middle school and high school. High school courses include: Computer Applications, Programming I & II, and Publications.  Dollar Bay also integrates the use of technology in the traditional classroom curriculum in various ways.  Currently there is a high school lab with 25 computers and an elementary lab with 30 computers and a Smart Board.  Each lower elementary classroom has 3 computers and each Jr. High and High School classroom has at least 1 computer.  The school library has several workstations available to students.  Computer projectors will soon be in every classroom and teachers and students are being trained in the use of Smart Tablets.   The computer to student ratio for the district is close to 1 computer for every 2 students.  A number of other devices are available to staff and students including scanners, laser/color printers, digital cameras, and video equipment.
