Ms. Kris Callog has been teaching at Dollar Bay since 1998. She
received her Bachelors in Education from Northern Illinois
University, her Masters in Education from Valparaiso
University, and Masters in Special Education from Norhtern Michigan
University. She enjoys working with students and being a
facilitator in the their learning
process. |
Mr. Juopperi started teaching at Dollar Bay in 2003. He teaches
all
the
gym classes. He gets the students in shape as he teaches them
different sports. He makes it fun to learn. |
Jesse Kentala Mr.
Kentala teaches English and Speach/Tech
Writing half the
day and the rest is spent in the Counselor's office. Jesse is a fromer
student of the school district and has helped coach in the
past.

Mrs. Paula McKaig has been at Dollar Bay since 1992. She teaches
all the band and choir classes at Dollar Bay. She received her
major
in Secondary Music K-12 with Choral Specifications, and a piano major
in
Lake Superior State Univ. and Northern Michigan Univ. She enjoys
watching students learn and understand things. |
Mrs. Sara Moilanen receieved her degree in Biology and secondary teaching certifacation from MTU in 2000. She taught science for a year at E-TC and then was the assistant basketball coach for MTU. She teaches Science 7, Science 8, Biology, and Science Applications. She also coaches the girls varsity Basketball teem. She says Dollar Bay kids are great, and its a fun place to be.

Mr. William O'Connor has been teaching since 1984. He has been at Dollar Bay since 1996. He received a Bachelor in Computer Science, and a minor in Math & Science at MTU, and a Masters in Religious Education at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. He teaches Elementary, Middle School, and High School computer classes along with accounting classes. He is also one of the computer network administrators. He enjoys teaching the hard working and respectful students. |
Mr. Patchin started in Dollar Bay in the fall of 2003. He has a Bachelors in Business Administration with a finance major from Michigan Tech. He spent 12 year working in sales and management before deciding to teach. When asked why he went into teaching he responds, "My greatest rewards come from helping people make their dreams become reality." He coaches JV basketball. He is also our athletic director.

Mrs. Mary Rautio went to Northern Michigan Univ. for four years, where
she received her major in English and a minor in Psychology. She
has been at Dollar Bay since 1995 and currently teaches English 7-9,
12, Creative writing and Psychology. One of the more enjoyable
parts of teaching is
laughing
and learning with students. |
Mrs. Kim Rogan has been at Dollar Bay since 1994. She teaches some of
our
Math, Chemistry, and Physics classes. She received her degree in
Math and Chemistry at Ferris State Univ., and also Michigan Tech
Univ.
She enjoys the variety of students she teaches, and being able to help
them become something better by learning, and also learning with
them. |
Mr. Greg Staricha went to Calumet High School and he graduated in 1993.
After he graduated from high school, he then went on to Northern
Michigan
University and graduated in 2001 with a bachelor in Science, secondary
in Education, major in Industrial Education, and a minor in Earth
Science.
He is a Woodshop, Metal shop, Drafting, CAD, and Earth Science
teacher. |

Mr. Matt Zimmer has been teaching
at Dollar Bay school since 2003. He
teaches
math, physical science, and physics. Mr. Zimmer has a degree in
civil
engineer for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. He
enjoys the positive attitude of the students.

Clare LaLonde
Mrs. LaLonde is a
student
teacher at Dollar Bay. She is teaching with Mr. Zimmer and Mrs.
Moilonan. She is
a student at Michigain Tech for the second year. She has dogs,
newts, turtles and a bird. She is origanoly from Iowa. She attended
Iowa State, and Washington State before going to Michigan Tech. |
Gael Butkovich
Mrs. Butkovich is an AmeriCorps worker at Dollar
Bay. She attended Finlandia University for a bachelor
degree in elementary ed. Her concentrations are
mathematics and science. She thinks the Dollar Bay students are
very open and
welcoming. |
