Our Dream Mill
Metal shop was a new class for 02-03 school year. It's a very hands on class and a lot gets done. In the class the students learn a wide varitey of useful things from welding up a piece of metal to building a customized off-road truck. So far students have been working on go carts and things in the school that need repaired, such as broken desks and tables that need to be rewelded. The project that the students will be starting is a off-road rail buggy. We are using a older 3/4 ton Chevy pickup for the engine, tranny, transfer case, axles, and some of the suspension to make our own customized rail buggy. We have our own design that has never been used before and with a lot of hard work and hard fabrication of our own parts we hope it will turn out to be a awsome design.
